Summer learning in Georgetown ISD will focus on students’ individualized needs through JumpStart!, a program for children in grades 3-8.
The program was launched last year to address learning lapses during Covid. The program provides hands-on and personalized learning for students, and participation is by invitation only.
Dates and Times
• Session 1: June 13-June 30
• Session 2: July 11-July 28
8:30 a.m.-noon, Monday through Thursday
Locations
• Cooper Elementary School (for students zoned to Cooper, Ford, Frost, McCoy, and Village)
• Purl Elementary School (for students zoned to Purl, Carver, Mitchell, Williams,and Wolf Ranch)
• Tippit Middle School
High School Summer Programs
High school programs are provided to help students develop a strong foundation for the 2022-23 school year or to help seniors earn credits needed for graduation.
• Session 1 - June 6-23 (Monday-Thursday Only)
• Session 2 - July 11-28 (Monday-Thursday Only)
Morning classes will be from 8:30-11:30 a.m.; afternoon classes from noon to 3 p.m.

Free Summer Meals
Breakfast and lunch will be offered by the district from May 31 through July 29 and are free for youths ages 18 and younger.
Children do not need to be a GISD student to participate.
Meals will be served at Cooper, Purl and Williams elementaries; Tippit Middle School and East View High School.
Breakfast hours are 7:30-9 a.m. Lunch Hours are 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
