Wilco Fair and Rodeo opens Wednesday

The Williamson County Fair and Rodeo starts Wednesday in Taylor, running October 26-29. 

The four-day event takes place at the Williamson County Expo Center and features country and Tejano music, food trucks, carnival rides, rodeo performances and live entertainment. 

Rodeo events are scheduled for the nights of October 28 and 29. Spectators can expect to see bull and bronc riding, as well as horsemanship of all kinds. 

The Williamson County Fair and Rodeo is a project of the county two years running. Tickets can be purchased by visiting wilcofair.com

October 26 (Family Night)

4 p.m. — Gates open. Vendors and food trucks open at the Expo Hall and tarmac. Petting zoo open at the Pavilion 

5 p.m. — DJ Daddy Ray on the Community Stage. The Beer and Wine Garden opens at the Covered Expo. Carnival opens on the tarmac 

6 p.m. — Swifty Swine Races on the tarmac

6:30 p.m. — The Paul Bunyan Show at the northeast side of the covered arena
