Herminia “Minnie” Briseno (59) of Hutto, Texas, entered into her Heavenly home on June 11, 2023, with her loving husband of 42 years by her side.

Minnie was born on June 27, 1963 in Loraine, Texas to Reynaldo and Herminia Selvera.  She was raised by her grandparents Enrique and Adella Castillo after her mother’s passing after she was born.  After graduating high school, she married her husband Eloy Briseno on November 28, 1981 at the First Baptist Church of Colorado City, Texas.  She then lived many different places such as Hawaii, Midland, and Round Rock.  While her husband served in the military she stayed beside him moving each time he was transferred, until eventually settling in Hutto, Texas.  Herminia worked for CPL Clinical Pathology Laboratories for 21 years as a Phlebotomist a job she thoroughly enjoyed.

She loved her family and was especially close with her siblings Yolanda and Reynaldo as they were also raised by her grandparents.  Her pride and joy was her grandchildren who she was dedicated too.  She loved the outdoors especially the beach, and was always ready to travel.  She enjoyed fishing and cooking.  Barbecuing was always something she enjoyed.  She had many friends but her closest were the members of the Turtle Club, gathering together to socialize and have a goodtime.  You could also rely on Minnie to be on time no matter where it was she was going, as timeliness was very important to her.  Minnie and her Husband Eloy were members of the Catholic Church in Taylor where she proudly served as a Guadalupana.

Those left behind will cherish so many happy memories of Minnie and hold on the Faith that she showed everyone around her.  Her survivors include Husband Eloy of Hutto, Son Anthony Briseno and fiancé Crystal Martinez of Colorado City, Daughter Jacynda Briseno-Briggs and husband Robert of Hutto, daughter-in-law Bianca Briseno, Grandchildren Amaya, Juystin, Nova, Eastside, Ace, Branden, Reiliegh, and Chloe, and hercherished fur babies Chubbs and Boomer who never left her side and were her comforters during her illness.  Also surviving are her siblings Yolanda and John Carnett of Midland, Jimmy and Toni Selvera of Evanston WY, Sarah Kennington and Baron Ellis of Buford GA, Sally Mejia of Odessa, Pete and Delmira Selvera of Midland, Ray Selvera of Colorado City, Sylvia and Joe Cruz of Odessa, Gloria and Ignacio Herrera of Houston, Adelina and Abel Paredes of Midland, Joel and Stephanie Selvera of Colorado City, and Angela Tovar and Sean Price of Princeton.
