Fire fighting agencies from across the region responded to a grass fire Wednesday evening, July 16, near 1001 Cobb Creek Road in North Georgetown, between Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Jarrell. The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. As of 9 a.m. Friday morning, the fire had burned 300 acres and was 60 percent contained, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.
